Hi I’m Geoff Griffin and Painted Barn Media is mostly me with occasional help from family and friends. I’ve loved photography for as long as I can remember. I got my first camera as a child and as time and money have allowed I’ve gotten better and better equipment and improved my skills as a photographer. During the summer of 2017 I had the idea to take photos at Warren County Sports events and offer them for sale to parents as a means to acquire increasingly better cameras and lenses. That is still my main objective. I’m not looking to get rich taking photos, I simply want to be able to shoot with good equipment to be able to get the best possible images for the families of Warren County.
I do a wide variety of photography, but my comfort zone is on the sidelines of athletic events capturing memories so that Parents can experience the events as they unfold and not worry about trying to capture it with a camera or phone that is not well suited for that job.
In addition to the Families, I feel it is my obligation to also support the schools that provide the events I cover. My photos are available free of charge to all of the schools for their use in promoting their students and athletes.
You can obtain the photos of your child taken by Painted Barn Media in a number of different ways:
- Individually – There is normally a photo album on my Facebook Page (Painted Barn Media) for each event that I cover. In the description for that album you will find a link where you can purchase individual photos. If you are looking at a single photo that someone has tagged you in you may not see that description. You’ll need to navigate to the actual album to find the description.
- As a Package – For Warren County High School and Warren County Middle School Athletics I offer packages where you can pay in advance to obtain all of the photos of your athletes as electronic downloads. Click here to sign up for an Action Package.

In looking toward the future, I can see that I’ve almost reached the limit of what I can do as a one-person operation and I know that is a cause for disappointment during some of the busier times of the year. Painted Barn Media is my side gig. I work a full time job as well, occasionally using vacation time to make it to games on time. I’m currently looking for ways to expand my ability to cover events. I know I can find talented young photographers, I’ve had a few of them help me out on occasion. The roadblock is having the funds to provide them with equipment and pay them for their time. To obtain these funds, I’ve opened my Facebook Albums up for sponsorships. I know my albums are popular, I hear it almost everywhere I go — “hey your that Painted Barn guy aren’t you? I love your photos”. So why not use that popularity as a platform to generate some income through advertising. Do you have a small business?
